Samsung had to do something, even with its millions of phones sold last year, 2014 was fiscally a bad year for the Korean giant. They tried to renew the Galaxy S series with updated specs, a fingerprint sensor, and even water resistance, but with all of that, the phone was still considered comparably a flop. So they went back to the drawing board and came back out with the S6 and the S6 Edge.
Early Sunday morning in Barcelona, HTC put all the rumors and leaks to rest as they announced their newest flagship, the HTC One M9. For the past few weeks we’ve received leak after leak about the device but now we have the official list of specs and features from this year’s One. Mobile World Congress 2015 is so close I can almost taste the Samsung Six Appeal. With Samsung set to “unpack” its latest Galaxy Lineup, it’s no surprise we’re now seeing another time-honored live stream countdown clock. Just as with HTC, Samsung is planning to get everyone with an internet connection to tune in March 1st for the live stream of its 2015 Galaxy Unpacked event in Barcelona.
At this point, we probably know more about the HTC One M9 than HTC would care to admit. Either way, HTC still plans to try and “wow” us with its latest flagship device in Barcelona during MWC 2015.
