Boy, oh boy, what a day. Today’s craziness all started at 7 a.m. PDT, when registration opened for Google I/O 2013. It was the usual Google clusterf****, with multiple issues ranging from error messages to Google Wallet disasters. It took about 55 minutes for the tickets to sell out, leaving those with Google Wallet issues, bank denials, and just plain infinitely spinning circles, furious. I can’t say I don’t blame them, as most of them certainly got hosed.

If the early morning Google I/O woes weren’t enough to ruin your day, the news of Mr. Andy Rubin, the Godfather of Android, leaving Android certainly did. That’s right, Android’s beloved father figure decided to hand over the reigns to Sundar Pichai, SVP of Chrome, as he (Andy Rubin) begins a new chapter at Google.

Naturally, this news started a whirlwind of Chrome OS/Android convergence rumors.

By midday, most of you were curled up in the fetal position crying like little babies while holding your plush Bugdroids tightly against your chests. Then, as your tears began to dry and your whimpers slowly faded, Google went ahead and dumped a pile of salt atop your wounds by announcing the death of Google Reader.

Oh, the humanity!

Okay, so it’s not dead yet, but come July 1st, you can sing “bye, bye, bye” to the single greatest content aggregator of all time.

We launched Google Reader in 2005 in an effort to make it easy for people to discover and keep tabs on their favorite websites. While the product has a loyal following, over the years usage has declined. So, on July 1, 2013, we will retire Google Reader. Users and developers interested in RSS alternatives can export their data, including their subscriptions, with Google Takeout over the course of the next four months.

I’m absolutely speechless. Way to kick a guy when he’s down. Thanks a lot Google. If anyone needs me, I’ll be lying naked underneath a stack of old news papers.

In case you missed it, Oz the Great and Powerful hit theaters this past Friday and since I’m a fan of both the classic and modern stories, I though it’s be a perfect time to share a couple of wallpapers.

Finally! After multiple absurd video teases, Samsung has given us a tease that reminds us there’s an actual phone and not some magical unicorn being unveiled in NYC on March 14th.

While it’s not much, it’s something that resembles an actual phone! It appears Samsung is sticking with the curved design of the S3, but then again, one can never be too certain with Samsung.

It’s really too bad they didn’t show the bottom half — I’m really dying to know about whether or not the S4 will have a physical Home button. I guess that’s a mystery they plan on keeping until the very end.

A couple more teases like this and Samsung will have my blood flowing again. Glad you decided to wake up Sammy!

The story of Jeremy Maxwell and his Samsung UNPACKED box continues as Samsung has released part two of their UNPACKED 2013 teaser videos.

The story is far from over and already I’m sick of Jeremy and his senseless drivel. This Oreo fed Ricky Stratton is full of nondescript adjectives that do nothing to excite me about Samsung’s next Galaxy device. At this point, I’d prefer an over abundance of lens flare to this Richie Rich story.

We’re only three days away from Samsung’s NYC event and we fully expect to see the Galaxy S IV revealed. What exactly the S IV will feature is up in the air as we’ve seen conflicting reports in regards to design and features. Either way, I’m fully expecting Jeremy to be the one unveiling it in NYC and I’m fully prepared to start throwing Oreo cookies at him should the S IV fail to “blow me away.”

Anyways, here’s part two in its entirety for all of you who can’t sleep at night without knowing what happens next.

Google is well known for their interactive Easter Eggs. They’ve been hidden in everything from searches to “About” screens, and keeping with the fun tradition of hunting for Easter Eggs, they’ve hidden a plethora of them in the new Google I/O page.

Head over to https://developers.google.com/events/io/ and start clicking on the I and O to unlock loads of interactive fun.

Everything from hot dog and hamburgers, to drum machines and synth sounds, can be found by inputting the correct code. Just look for the code to be highlighted in green and you’ll be on your way. See red, and you’ll have to try again.

It looks like the folks over at Disney sure enjoy playing Temple Run as they’ve once again teamed up with Imangi Studios to create a movie themed version of the famed endless running game. This time, you’ll find yourself following the yellow brick road — when possible.

In celebration of the upcoming Disney film Oz the Great & Powerful, Disney and Imangi studios have released Temple Run: Oz.
