Did the Android 4.2.2 Update Improve the Battery Life of the Nexus 7 by 2 Hours?
While you search for what’s new and improved in Android 4.2.2, why not take a quick look at the official Nexus 7 specs listed on Google Play. What’s that? You don’t understand? Well, it appears Google has upped the battery life of the Nexus 7 from 8 hours of active use to 10 hours. This change comes in conjunction with the Android 4.2.2 update.
Coincidence?
Although nothing has been dug up to directly link the update to this change in documentation, we’re betting that this increase in battery life is a direct result of the update. Either way, I’m certainly not going to complain about an extra 2 hours.
Now I just have to wait for the update to hit my Nexus 7 so I can see for myself if the juice lasts any longer. Anyone else still waiting for the update?

The DROID brand deserves the majority of credit for the amount of early success that the Android operating system had in 2009 and 2010. From the original Motorola DROID to the original DROID Incredible, this was the brand of phones that people flocked to if they wanted a phone outside of the iPhone, not just because of a great marketing campaign, but because these were top of the line phones.
