It’s a proud day for Imangi Studios as Temple Run 2 has shattered records with over 50 million downloads in just 13 days. To put thing in perspective, last April, Angry Birds Space became the fastest growing mobile game with 50 million downloads in 35 days. To think Temple Run 2 accomplished such a feat in 22 days less than download king Angry Birds, is quite impressive.
Last week, Temple Run 2 zip-lined into the App Store and caused quite the splash with over 20 million people downloading this endless running sequel in just four days. I’d consider those numbers to be an indication of a surefire hit, and although Imangi decided to launch Temple Run 2 on iOS first, I’m happy to announce that it is now available in the Google Play store.
Imangi Studios, the group behind the immensely popular Temple Run, has just recently dropped the sequel to their multi-million download hit into the App Store in New Zealand. Word is, the U.S. App Store will be receiving this next iteration, simply entitle Temple Run 2, sometime tonight. However, what’s not clear is when it will land on the Google Play Store.
